First try cleaning with some acetone and a clean white rag. Blot the stain with the rag. Do not rub the stain, since this may only spread it around making it worst.
Depending on how long the marker has remained on the floor it may require a poultice. Mix methylene chloride and poultice powder and apply. Be careful when working with methylene chloride. It is a very strong solvent and the odor can be over powering.
TIP For further information on stain removal refer to the Stain Removal Guide for Stone in the back.
