Can I powder polish a marble floor that has been recrystallized?

If the marble has only been recrystallized a few times it is possible to powder polish over the recrystallization. The powder will remove the recrystallized surface . If the marble has been recrystallized heavily, powder polishing may be able to be used but I would first test in a non-conspicuous area.

TIP If powder polishing does not remove the recrystallization, try lightly honing with a 400 or 600 grit diamond. There are also loose abrasive pre-polish powder that may also work just as well.
