Traverine tiles

My husband and I installed 18" square Travertine tiles (honed and filled) in our kitchen and baths. There is no grout lines, we butted the tiles. Although we tried very hard to get each tile even, we still have several areas of lippage. Can you tell me what it would take to fix this problem, and if it is something we can do ourselves. I see that you sell the tools, but I wouldn't even know where to start with deciding what to purchase. When we do fix these areas of the tile will it need more filler? Thanks for your help!

Well, there is good news and bad news. The good news is, Yes, it can be fixed. The bad news is that you will need a pro to grind and flatten the floor. As a matter of fact grinding the floor is often done in Europe and it will give you a flat floor with no lippage. This will make it easier to care for as well as give it a much better look. I would suggest you contact a pro in the Find A Pro section.
