Marble Floor Polished

Problem

Foot traffic and use can cause scratches, scuff marks, embedded dirt, and other problems with marble, a soft stone that is not impervious to damage. That’s exactly what happened with this marble floor. Notice how it is dull and dirty looking in the BEFORE image.

Solution

Honing the marble removes a thin upper layer of stone, virtually erasing the damage and revealing the brand new stone underneath. After the floor is honed, it can be polished to a soft matte finish, a high gloss polish, or something in between. You can see in the AFTER image, that this floor has a nice, reflective polished finish.
